Hello, I'm Caron - Welcome to Soul Senses
My Journey to Celebrancy
My journey as a celebrant has been inspired by experiencing life's many contrasts—losing loved ones, witnessing the joy of friends getting married, exciting new additions to the family, and personal journeys of discovery. These experiences showed me the profound power of ceremonies to unite people, create cherished memories, and bring comfort or joy during life's milestone moments.
I have had a somewhat diverse career from Hospitality, via Travel to Legal Accounting, in both Ireland and the UK, and don't get me wrong I enjoyed all the roles; It has given me an enormous amount of experience of cultural diversity, leadership, event management and a natural ability to put people at ease and create a relaxed space. However, all this age related wisdom needed a more personal fulfilment and so we fast forward to the present.
As I love to chat about all things creative - art, poetry, music, love, the natural world, kinship, humanity, ceremony and ritual - it seemed that my calling aligned most by communicating with others about what mattered most.
I love celebrations. I truly believe we don’t celebrate enough in life, so I’m here to bring the light into every occasion. I’m here to hold your hands through the tough ones and be the goofball grinning like a Cheshire cat at the ones filled with joy. For every occasion, I’m ready to listen to you, come up with ideas and work with you no matter your background, diversity and needs. It’s my job to ensure you have the best personalised ceremony EVER!
My Life in Northern Ireland
I'm based in Northern Ireland, happily married for nearly 20 years with two teenagers, two cats, and a hungry horse. They are my sunrise (literally) and sunset, every day begins and ends for, and because of, them. As an ambivert I do love extremes but what truly feeds my soul is connection – with nature, with animals, with good souls. This is my journey, transformational and heart led and I’m thrilled to be working in a field where these attributes can be shared.
My Approach to Ceremonies
Now I’m no Davina McCall but as someone who is in a puddle during the opening credits of Long Lost Family, I think it is safe to say I feel very deeply about people’s journeys and experiences.
A Soul Senses led wedding ceremony is non-discriminatory; life is enriched with the tapestry of people coming together whose different backgrounds, beliefs and passions define who they are. Love does not discriminate and neither do I
To be able to celebrate new beginnings or hold space to honour life’s end is a privileged position and one I wholeheartedly embrace.
As a qualified, spirited, and intuitive practitioner. I’m all about reaching clarity by reflecting on the deeper, soulful aspects of ceremonies, highlighting the importance of empathy, intuition, trust, and love as senses of the soul that enrich human connection and deepen bonds old and new.
-
Connection-Focused
At the heart of my work is a deep belief in human connection to create bonds between people where they feel seen and valued. To exchange positive energy with one another and build trust, I take time to truly understand each person's story, hopes, dreams and inner reservations. I believe ceremonies are most powerful when they come from a place of true connection and trust.
-
Empathy & Support
Empathy sits at the core of everything I do. Whether I'm helping a family say goodbye to a loved one or celebrating a couple's journey together, I believe in creating a supportive space where all emotions are welcome. My guiding principle is to be a calm, steady presence - someone who can hold space for joy, grief, nervousness, excitement, and everything in between.
My Ceremony Style
I'm all about creating fun, relaxed ceremonies that feel like a celebration rather than a formal occasion. My style is laid-back but meaningful - I love incorporating music, movement, and interactive elements that get everyone involved should you wish.
I promise to bring creativity, warmth, humour and a lot of soul from the beginning of our journey. I always look for the joy in life, I see the beauty in the small things, the humour in the unexpected and the love that ties us all together so It's important to me to express and reflect your story with warmth; to emphasize life's light and shade, to connect, to reflect, and to celebrate all milestone moments in a way that is personal and true to who you are.
Life is full of reasons to celebrate. I'd be honoured to help you mark yours!
Let's Connect
I believe in making the planning process as stress-free as possible. After our initial consultation, we can arrange a face-to-face meeting or, if time or location is an issue, we can set up a Zoom call. I send you a link to access my comprehensive online ceremony planning guide and questionnaire, which is live and editable as we go.
We can work together however best suits you - whether that's regular video calls, email exchanges, or in-person meetings. My favourite way to connect is by a private Whats App where we can build a picture as we go along, bounce ideas and try not to get too excited!
